Moonlit Desire

Moonlit Desire takes place in 1759 and takes the reader from the wilds of New York Colony to Quebec in New France. It has adventure, derring-do, history and a swashbuckling hero, Rive St. Clair. To avenge an injustice, he abducts Catherine Bradshaw on her wedding night. That becomes the basis of their story. But even as Catherine falls in love with Rive, it could be too late. A captain in the French army, he is involved in the last battle for Quebec, which falls to the British.

New Madonna Movie

Madonna has directed a movie! Her subject is the man who became King Edward V111of Great Britain and then gave it all up for an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. They became known as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. A lot has been written about them over the years, and Madonna's movie incorporates a contemporary character that forms a bridge between her story and that of the Duke and Duchess. The San Francisco Chronicle's movie critic called it a mess that wasn't worth making. In any event, their story became one of the greatest romances in history. To become King meant every advantage in the world, literally anything money could buy, was available to him. He was quite a playboy, but for whatever reason usually had affairs with married women. One story was that his current flame, Lady Furness, left England for a vacation and asked her friend, Wallis, to look after the king for her. Did she ever. They became quite the item. When the king petitioned to make Wallis his wife, he met a brick wall. Unable to crash through it, he gave up the throne and married her. He never did anything of importance again. They travelled the world and lived in luxury, but he became personna non grata with his family, the royals of Great Britain. Still, their story personifies romance!
